Accessibility is good business, not just compliance

An accessible site reaches more customers, ranks better and is easier to maintain. Here is where to start.

More people than you think

Millions of people rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions or larger text. If your site does not work for them, they will buy from someone whose site does.

The overlap with SEO and AEO

Clear headings, descriptive links, alt text and semantic markup help assistive technology and search engines alike. The work you do for accessibility makes your content easier for AI answers to understand too.

Start with the basics

Check colour contrast, make sure every action works with a keyboard, label your form fields and add meaningful alt text. Then run an automated audit, and test a few key journeys with a real screen reader.

Build it in, do not bolt it on

Accessibility is cheapest when it is part of the build from day one. Retrofitting an inaccessible site costs far more than getting the foundations right first time.
